ARC Book Review: Crescendo by Becca Fiztpartick

Hello, I finished reading ARC Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick, which is the second book in the Hush, Hush series. If you haven't read the first book Hush, Hush then I would not continue reading. Crescendo will be available on Oct. 19, 2010. Here is my review on Crescendo:

^^^^^
Plot: Nora Grey should have known her life was far from perfect. Even though her boyfriend, Patch, also happens to be her literal guardian angel (who, despite the title, is far from angelic), things are not looking up. First there is summer school and facing the nightmare of her enemy Marcie Millar as her lab partner. Then Patch starts to pull away with no explanation. And finally, she is having nightmares and visions about her father's murder.
As Nora chooses to ignore her better instincts and delves deeper into the mystery of hr father's death, she also begins to question whether her Nephilim bloodline had something to do with it, which casts more doubt on her relationship (or lack thereof) with Patch. Does he know more than he lets on? Why does he always seem to be standing in front of the answers she is looking for? And if he really is her guardian angel, why is her life always in danger?

Review: In this book Nora is having a hard time who to trust. Everywhere she turns there is always trouble right near her, just ready to take her away. In this book there are a lot of shocking, scary, interesting things that happen. Becca makes you think something once and then twists it completely different the next time.
The suspense leading up to who her father's killer made me guessing the whole time. Patch is very confusing in this book at what he wants and Nora is the same way. There is also a new character in this book named Scott, who I enjoyed the most. The other characters also develope in different ways as well in this story, which I liked. The ending was amazing and now I am looking forward to the next book in the series, called Tempest. I give Crescendo 4.5/5.

I hope to read this soon after it's out. I read Hush, Hush this week, so I'm itching to read Crescendo. Great review :)

I can't wait for this to come out! I've already read it, but have a student who's dying to read it. It's tough to watch a kid get hooked on a series and then have to wait for the next segment to be released. Thanks for the review!

I was guessing the whole book through as well. Their non-communication was pretty annoying but I am glad that they got everything situated.
