Black Hole: Poem

The screams came before the fire.
It was consuming the house and everything in it.
Trees falling to the ground, people running for help.

I stand here frozen
Hearing peoples voices
filling with terror and fear.

I see my own work explode in front of me.
Pieces of ash fall from the sky
And world becomes black.

Book Review: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Hello, Lexie here. I just finished reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, so here is my review on it. Enjoy!

~~~
Plot: the cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf- her wolf- wathes back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn't know why.
the heat.
Sam has lived to lives. As a wolf, he keeps silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace . . . until now.
the shiver.
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But one it's spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human-and Grace must fight to keep him- even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.
Review: I have many words for this book and horrible is not one of them. I didn't know what I was getting into when I started reading this book and I wish I was more prepared for this, but I wasn't and because of that, this book came down on me hard. The characters are just a joy to read and learn about, and the idea of the wolfs in this book are extraordinary and very well created. I love the ending and the book just made everything very smooth. So I give this book a 5/5.
Book Review: The Dark Divine by Bree Despain
Hey, Lexie here. So today I'll be giving my review on The Dark Divine by Bree Despain. Enjoy!
***
Plot: Grace Divine-daughter of a local pastor-always knew something terrible happened the night Daniel Kalbi disappeared and her brother Jude came home covered in his own blood.
Now that Daniel's returned, Grace must choose between her growing attraction to him and her loyalty to her brother.
As Grace gets closer to Daniel, she learns the truth about the mysterious night and how to save the ones she loves, but it might cost her the one thing she cherishes most: her soul.
Review: I thought this book was better then I thought it was going to be, but to me it wasn't really a shock at the end of the book, like it is for most people. I liked the history of this story and the action, but I didn't like Jude at all or some of the other characters. Daniel was fine at some parts and then other times I just wanted to throw the book at the wall and be done with it, but at the end it finally became good. So I give this book a 4/5.
Book Review: Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Hello, Everyone. It's me, Lexie, again and today I am giving my review on Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Hope you enjoy it!
***
Plot: At age four, Bryn watched a rogue werewolf brutally murder her parents. Alone in the world, she was rescued and taken in by the mysterious Callum, the alpha of his werewolf pack. Now Fifteen, Byrn's been raised as a human among werewolves, adhering the pack rule (mostly). Little fazes her.
But the pack's been keeping a secret and when Byrn goes exploring against Callum's direct orders, she finds Chase, a newly turned Were locked in a cage. Terrifying memories of the attack on Bryan's parents come flooding back. Byrn needs answers, and she needs Chase to get them. Suddenly, all allegiances to the pack no longer matter. It's Bryn and Chase against the werewolf world, whatever the consequences.
Review: Simply one of the best werewolf books ever written. To me I give this book a big 5/5. This book sinks you in and there is no way to get out until you finish reading it. Everyday until the moment I finished reading this book, it was all I could think of. The characters were just out of this world and the plot is one of the bests I have ever read. The history of the werewolves is so thought out, it's just amazing. This book will leave you howling for so much more.
Dark Secrets 2: No Time to Die & The Deep End of Fear by Elizabeth Chandler
Hello, Everyone. Its Lexie and it's been a long time since I did a post on here, sorry about that. I just finished Dark Secrets 2 by Elizabeth Chandler and I hope you like my review.
***
Secrets taken to the grave don't always stay buried.
No Time to Die:
Plot: Jenny is devastated by the recent death of her sister, Liza. Looking for a sense of closure, she secretly signs up for the drama camp where Liza died. Jenny knows that someone here holds the key to what really happened to Liza that night, but if she doesn't find out the truth soon, she may become the next victim.
Review: Yes, it is a very small plot, but a amazing book. This secrets are so scary and awesome it's so hard to put the book down. You would have never thought of who the killer was and why they did it. I give this book a 4.5/5. This book leaves you chilled to the bones and wanting more.
The Deep End of Fear:
Plot: Kate has tried to bury the horrible memories associated with the Westbrook estate. After her best friend, Ashley, drowned there Kate vowed never to return. But now, twelve years later, she is drawn back to the house and that fatal icy pond. There, Kate still feels Ashley's presence and the past seems to be pulling her back toward Ashley's life-threatening dares.
Review: Extremely scary and unforgettable. This one scared me even more then the last book and at the end I had no idea that something like that would happen. I give this one a 5/5. Everything made sense and just amazing. Both of these books are very good, so if you haven't read them I would right now, because you are missing a very amazing and spooky world.
