Book Review: Shift by Jeri-Smith Ready

Hello everyone! I finished reading Shift by Jeri-Smith Ready, which is the second book in the Shade Trilogy. The first book in the series is Shade and the third (coming 2012) is Shine. Here is my review and I hope you enjoy:

***
Summary: Aura’s life is anything but easy. Her boyfriend, Logan, died, and his slides between ghost and shade have left her reeling. Aura knows he needs her now more than ever. She loves Logan, but she can’t deny her connection with the totally supportive, totally gorgeous Zachary. And she’s not sure that she wants to. Logan and Zachary will fight to be the one by her side, but Aura needs them both to uncover the mystery of her past—the mystery of the Shift. As Aura’s search uncovers new truths, she must decide whom to trust with her secrets…and her heart.

Review: Shade was a extremely interesting ghost story about love and redemption. Now the old characters are back in Shift and their love will be tested like it hasn't ever before. The main character, Aura has turned into a complete different person. In Shift I didn't enjoy Aura that much because at times it seemed like she either couldn't hang on to one man or kept throwing herself at another. I did enjoy reading about Logan, who is the sun that all the other characters revolve around. He literally became the light for everyone and he was really great to read about with his jokes and amazing music. Zachary, was the character like I was having a hard time liking and hating, because at times he seemed like the best boy and then other times he seemed like the worst person in the whole book. I could not stop reading because I did enjoy the history that the author created throughout the novel about the Shift and the ghosts, but I think the many reason I was reading so fast was because I truly wanted to know what would happen to Logan.
